I have a dentist appointment at 3 (he's fixing a filling that he "doesn't feel he did his best work on" [I'm starting to think my dentist is a wee bit obsessive]) and an appointment with our financial planner at 7. Both of these things are objectively important things, but it's sunny and almost 70 and I just want to play outside.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have a Drs appointment tomorrow. It's my quarterly yes I still need Vyvanse please refill it appointment . But I'm going to be like 'did you see my blood work and how it has improved?" . I'm also going to brag on my improved strength. I realized today that as much as all my muscles were aching from inventory prep/6 days working my knees didn't hurt at all. And they had been bothering me after some days.
That's excellent, askye!
Dentist appointment went fine and the filling is repaired (but now my mouth is a little sore), and the meeting with the financial planner went fine, so much adulting has been achieved. And I edited an article in starts and stops in between those 2 appointments. Now I think I'm going to make mashed potatoes for dinner. Or scrambled eggs. Something soft for my sore mouth.
Aw, poor sore mouth with a better filling. Enjoy the soft goodness.
I am out of words. No more wording. I can still read.
Mashed potatoes were had, and they were quite tasty.
I am not built to work ten-hour days. I am built for maybe five-hour days. Someone fix it. Dinner tonight is goat cheese on sourdough toast with preserves and I need to be in bed in, oh, 20 min.
Also, we are a month behind on everything because my bosses believed that a mediocre white dude could do what he claimed. He was also creepy as hell (stared at my 19 yo coworker all the time, touched me unnecessarily and inappropriately twice). It’s a tiring week. In better news, my bosses seem to have… listened to me? And adjusted their expectations around my productivity to allow me to actually train and supervise and (most importantly) QC my two coworkers?
Gold star, Steph!!
Jen, wishing you effective treatments both mental and physical.
I have eaten my toast so I fall down go sleep now. Just wanted to pop in for a minute to say hi.

That sounds pretty yummy to me. I hope you have achieved renewing sleep.
Agree the toast sounds yummy!! Sorry about the creepy coworker but hope the new boss attitude helps/continues!
Thankfully found friend who can take dog, though hopefully he gets along with her dog who he has not met. Haven’t heard frpm dogsitter guy alll day, after he responded to my last text of "are we still on for dogsitting" late last night with "yes!" bit then didn't respond at all since. i requested on venmo that he send the money back i sent him—need it to pay the new sitter! ugh.
That's a relief about the dog, sorry about the stress.
I've arranged for Skinner to go stay with a friend for 4 days, well 5 nights and 4 days. He is staying with our friend who we lived with for some time after we sold the house but hadn't found this place yet so Skinner is well acquainted with the house and yard. Kevin is Jamaican and has opinions about dogs living in the house, but he makes an exception because he loves me and tolerates Skinner.
Since Brendon doesn't come in here I can share my weekend details!! As you know, my anniversary is on St. Patrick's Day (34 years!), so we like to go to different places and check out the variety of celebrations. This year it is New Orleans! (be jealous of the smonster hugs) I haven't told DH where we are going, just that we are flying out at 7:30 AM on Friday and arriving home at midnight on Monday. Unfortunately the forecast calls for rain pretty much the entire time, but warm and raining isn't really unfamiliar to us. eta: I did spoil him and upgrade the seats so he won't be miserable for the flight duration.
