Everybody pinky promise to do a colonoscopy this year if you are due! Promise!
I did the at-home colon cancer screening kit my doctor ordered!
I also ordered an oxygen monitor, and I need to go back through my text chains for my dad's various doctor's visits/diagnoses with things I need to add to my family history in case that changes how frequently they want me to get checked for anything.
Next Thursday is for dealing with Dad and his hallucinations
Best of luck mustering all the grace and coping mechanisms.
At some point here I need to do my taxes…
My executive function tank has been near zero, so this weekend I need to schedule some time blocks where I focus on taxes for 15 minutes and then do fuck all for 45.
Oofdah, I just did my first Wire Transfer to secure the venue. Which was complicated because JZ is still listed as the primary on our bank account, so it sends all verification codes to her phone, which I have to charge and unlock.
And I haven't had her taken off the accounts because I didn't want to fuck with them until I figured out which things were on autopay etc.
Anyway, with the help of online service rep I got it done.
I guess I'll make an official announcement soon, but just to remind everybody:
May 18th (Saturday), Noon to 4pm.
Open bar! Food! Lots of pictures of Jacqueline!
The venue looks amazing, David.
The venue looks amazing, David.
I had such a pang when I walked in there during the Edwardian Ball, because Jacqueline and I had always wanted to go.
And then I realized I could rent it for her Memorial and she could be there.
Time to book flights/rooms/time off. Dang.
Wow, that place looks wonderful! On my calendar
Oh, right, taxes, I do still need to do those.
It does look absolutely perfect, David.

Jim and I had ours in February: no issues.
David, that is an incredible space.
I'm looking at this place to cater the event: [link]
What's your favorite from the menu?
I'm realizing this is sort of like planning a wedding but in reverse. This is the end of our marriage. Twice wed but unmarried. A widower.
I'm planning on wearing my wedding ring for a year and then taking it off. Then I'll string it on a gold chain with her engagement and wedding ring. Maybe it'll go in a shadow box.
What style with this event be? Sit at tables and dine? Or stand, circulate, converse, sip, and nibble?
