So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

They are...supposedly...releasing DH from the hospital today. He's on a four-week IV ABX before they can do the surgery they need to do, so we'll be doing stop-and-go infusions daily at the hospital. But he'll be out of durance vile while we wait for the surgery date. Thanks so much for all the ~ma. I now release it to those who need it more.

Give B my love. Miss you two. Fingers crossed for him still.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We miss you too, Plei.

He's home. He's a little dazed, wandering around touching things. "I miss the hospital noises." He's napping. It's beyond wonderful to have him home, see him better, and know there's an endpoint to this, and a positive resolution Thanks everybody for the good thoughts. Most appreciated. And now I nap, too.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I’m glad he’s home, Beverly.

I have a mammogram tomorrow morning. They generally aren’t painful for me. But going in, I always wonder if this is the one that will change my life—in a bad way. Still, better to find things than not, if things are to be found.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

But going in, I always wonder if this is the one that will change my life—in a bad way.

The word I have learned for this is: "scanxiety."

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

The word I have learned for this is: "scanxiety."

That is a perfect word, and I feel it at every mammogram, every colonoscopy (because of family history I've been having them every 3 years or so since my mid-30s), and even a little bit with every year's bloodwork at my annual physical.

Scanxiety sound accurate.

Our wings are not tired.

Good Monday! Why do I say it is so good? It is Beverly's birthday! I'm relieved that you have your DH home with you. May you have a relaxed and lovely day and may the year to come bring an abundance of health and happiness to your lives.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Beverly, I hope you’re having a peaceful birthday at home with your DH! Love to both of you.

We dropped ltc off at Mom’s for two nights yesterday and then had a wonderful date night a play, dinner at a pub, and then came home and watched The BAFTA awards hosted by David Tennant.
