Our wings are not tired.

I know it was only a few posts, but I was in panic for a few moments there! Hug each other for me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Y’all! I got off the plane and immediately lost my phone, apparently, but didn’t realize it until I was in the other side of security. So now I know all the places at MSY to ask about lost and found even though the most likely to be useful one was already closed (and won’t reopen until Monday). Fortunately, I did eventually remember that you can take a taxi without an app and got myself delivered to smonster. And this morning we were able to figure out how to get her spare phone sort of working with my apple account, so not completely out of touch. And got the find my phone thing on my watch working (it needs Wi-Fi or something , pro tip) which confirms my phone *is* at the airport, so that’s a relief.

Coffees and breakfasted and shortly to parades

Yay, glad you made it safely and have some work-arounds in place for your phone.

Have a fan-freaking-tastic day, you two! And remember peektures, please.

Punishingly Intricate

I love catching up when the scary part of an adventure is already over!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I love catching up when the scary part of an adventure is already over!

Right?! And impressed with -t's resourcefulness under duress.

I hope you two have a blast.

It's a glorious blue sky morning in San Francisco after all the rains.

I'm going to do my run in a second.

Yesterday, I finished my week of fancy meals by doubling down and having lunch with JenK which was wonderful to catch up with her (we went to Burma Superstar), and that night Matilda and I had dinner with our friend Hannah (at Nopalito - where I basically just had a salad as my body was objecting to all the rich food). Matilda soaked up lots off "mom hugs" from Hannah and it was a really good reconnection after several months.

Have a great run!

I am working some today and then going to visit a friend in the hospital, which is a whole long story about my Monday, but I'll save it for another time. Or not. tl; dr -- sometimes events put you exactly where you need to be to help someone you didn't know was in (that much) trouble, and I thank the Universe for that. I mean, I personally think it's actually completely random, but somehow, gratitude to the Universe still feels right.

We are having unseasonably warm weather here. Doggo is happy about that. So is Jenno.

Oh! And I finally found a lovely, delicious, chai tea powder that is so good -- just the tea and spices, no sweetener, and it tastes so freaking good. I add oat milk (I mean, oat beverage, sorry, milk industry) and sweetener to my taste, and... perfection. It's called Blue Lotus (have only tried the "original" recipe so far.) And it makes 100 cups (except really 50, because I double the recipe) for a $16 cannister, so I think that's a reasonable spend for something I love AND that I will (mostly) no longer go out for. Win!

I mean, you have to factor in the oat mi...everage, too, but still! Totally going to figure out the cost per cup later today, because that is the kind of nerd I am. Yes. Also the kind of nerd who talks about chai tea for two paragraphs. Seems about right for this place.

"I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam," -- Popeye

...chai...Blue Lotus....

Thanks for the recommendation. I grew up on masala chai, and I have been feeling nostalgic for it again. It looks like a store near me carries the Blue Lotus line, so I will give it a try.

Thanks! TBH, I never enjoy the actual run, but I do feel much better for having done it.

And I'm happy to hear anybody enthuse in knowledgeable detail on any subject, so two paragraphs on Chai is entirely welcome.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My hair has thinned a lot, which I hate, but tbd if it is age, due to weight loss, due to bleaching the heck out of my hair for a couple years, or some combo. It’s no longer falling out like crazy, but it hasn’t grown back either.

I had a big weight loss shed, but it did start to grow back a few months after the shedding stopped, thank god. (Thus my frizz halo.) I still have a lot of hair, but not monster amounts of it like I had pre-shed.
