Good morning. I do not want to. I do not want to anything except go back to bed.

I got up at 6am this morning to (a) take the garbage cans out (too windy last night set them out); and (b) make a bolognese for Matilda.

I was pretty convinced I was going to go right back to bed. Then I decided to go running since I haven't for several days but the rain immediately started.

So I went to the cafe instead for Second Coffee and a bagel and stepped out and the rain had stopped.

I swear I got psyched up to go running at least three times and every time the rain would recur to personally thwart me. I get it, Rain. Not today.

Damage didn't look bad in the Panhandle or backyard and we didn't lose power so, that part's good at least.

EM was going to come by but had to reschedule so really feel like the day is giving me permission to just make some chili and read.

As someone currently out of bed and doing, I can’t really recommend it.

Major tuneup needed, $1400. My bad for deferred (to never) maintenance. Spent my lunch paying CC bills and moving money around to see how close I can get without pulling from an account I am trying not to touch.

Dana I hear you. And David, “chill and chili” sounds great to me! I’m trying and somewhat failing to focus on work. Not even managing the productive procrastination I can sometimes trick myself into where I at least get some less awful tasks done while putting off what I don’t want to do.

I took the day off. What started as running nose on Friday is now a full on head cold.

Also it’s become clear that it is time to let my little dog Miley go. She is refusing food and is not feeling well. The appointment is tomorrow.

My car is also way overdue for maintenance but I’m going to continue to defer it a little while longer.

I lost power briefly over the weekend and I guess that was enough to piss off my router but I didn’t notice that until I tried to log into work this morning. Apparently, resetting this router requires logging into my Xfinity account which I was able to do on an app on my phone eventually but it strikes me that needing the internet to fix my access to the internet is not a great design. Anyway, have been desultorily half working ever since.
