Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

We don't really do year-end self-evaluations anymore, just individual project postmortems to figure out what went well and what we could do better next time. I'm a lot more comfortable with the subject of the eval being the project rather than me personally, even if I'm talking about things I did on it.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

this reminds me why trying to do a bio may be some of what I hate about trying to get published.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Dammit. Hinton Battle has left us; Wikipedia says he died at Cedars Sinai in L.A., but gives no cause of death.

He was probably my favourite part of the musical episode.

Our wings are not tired.

He was so talented. A very memorable performance for sure.

Which reminds me that the Grammys are on tonight! One of my favorties. I have to say I am really looking forward to the Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs duet.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Damn. He was only 67.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

So yesterday Mr. S insisted on going to the supermarket with me. Which meant all three of us went, and we ended up with a few more things than were on the list.(including Axe deodorant. He is 8.) I hope this doesn’t become a pattern.

Is it wrong that I wondered if Battle caught fire? Probably a little, and yet?

Hope it was good trip, behaviorally, Sheryl.

Wow, 8? I still picture him as about 5. Time flies. I can’t believe some of my high school and college friends have grown children now—I don’t feel old enough for that, yet somehow this year is my 25th college reunion?!?

I accomplished zero yesterday. I had a migraine in the morning, but even though the drugs made it go away by noonish, I still just sat on the couch and watched TikTok’s all day. Planning to get more done today (and already have, since there’s laundry in the wash and I went out to buy breakfast at a place I’ve been meaning to try!). Have plans for a stretch class (yay, though I dread the warmups which are awkward bear crawls and shit) and afternoon meetup with a friend and her toddler. Maybe dancing too, if I can push myself to do it.

Yeah, time flies, meara.

The trip went reasonably well, but I still prefer to go by myself.
