XPosted on FB: So some tentative hope this morning. Dad is more alert, and if we can keep doing the syringe feeding (which no one thought to try until now...don't get me started), he may qualify for nursing care and rehab. I don't know how far back he can come to where he was, but this is the first morning I've felt like there's a chance in a long time.
Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

I’m so glad it’s Friday. My brain and body CANNOT get it together.
Brain is being squirrely, I’m having anxiety dreams at night and am unable to settle. Unsure why.
Body is hot/cold hot/cold also nose is runny and woke up with a soreish throat ( I suspect mouth breathing in my sleep). COVID test this morning negative and I’m not achy or coughing or having any issue breathing or fever.

Just realized that the deadline for my self assessment being Monday and Monday being a holiday means I actually should have it done by EOD. Have actual work to do, that I would rather be doing, rather than trying to remember if I actually accomplished anything last year and WAY MORE than I want to come up with areas for improvement for 2024. Bah.

Never mind. He refused to eat more than a tiny amount in the morning, and the speech therapist says he's not safe to swallow again. So. We will give it a day or two and see. Roller coaster. Every day.
