Pleurisy sucks.
I was very happy at 730am when I begrudgingly went to log into work and found out the meeting I was logging in for was canceled. Sadly I still had meetings from 8am until now and do not want to do any more work.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Jen, I feel like the dentist AND pleurisy is one thing too many.
Pleurisy sounds very un-fun, except of course for the Glass Menagerie "blue roses" reference. Probably much less entertaining if you're the one who has to actually experience it.
Pix & ND, still sending thoughts and prayers (hate that that now sounds like a snark rather than an actual hope and wish for strength & peace & better times ahead).
-t, that sounds like a crappy celebration. I hope the cocktails at least were good.
It's been too long since I've posted for a full meara, but I have been reading along and sending best wishes all this time.
Five whole days of work ahead, what?
Right? I am not used to this. Next week is 4 again and then I'm ruined for the rest of the year.

Agreed!
I hope the cocktails at least were good.
Honestly, not really. Me and my coworker who also tried them thought they could use a dash of Sprite or something. Pretty, though.
Had two meetings this morning and thought I was done but there's another one in 5 minutes. Whee!

"The first five days after a weekend are always the toughest." -- Anon.
Finished teaching my first class of the quarter about 45 minutes ago. Camped out at a nearby Panera right now because I don't have it in my to get directly into rush out traffic for the 63 mile drive home that goes right across the middle of Los Angeles.
My spoon supply is low.
I'm also pretty much out of forks.
{{{Noise}}} Drive safe when you feel up to driving.
I've been known to do the same thing, ND, except at a Jersey Mike's sub shop - and that's only SD traffic, which is a pale imitation of LA traffic. May your/soup/sandwich/salad/whatev be tasty and may the traffic gods smile upon you when you do get out in it.
{{{Drew}}} Just don’t drink the lemonade. (Or do, and zoom home I guess.)
