Daniel, I'm so sorry. My condolences and ~ma.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Cereal:
The sharp difference between hope and despair, the joy for those who are home and the worries for those who aren't
This, very much. And yet I read some of it. Probably more than is healthy.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Daniel. Much love to you and all your Mom’s loved ones.
Very sorry for your loss, Daniel.
I'm sorry for your loss, Daniel.
Ugh, I have to get a new PCP too. Mine is retiring, and I moved.
My PCP retired and I finally got around to setting up an appointment with someone else in her former practice so I can have someone on record. So annoying—I couldn't do it online or in the app and had to sit on hold for 20 minutes before setting up an appointment (like my ancestors did in days of old). I don't know if the new doctor is good or not, but (once you can get ahold of them) the front desk people are stellar. They've never misfiled insurance info or screwed up a prescription for me. So as long as the doctor doesn't try to sell me on essential oils or tell me my bronchitis is due to my weight, it'll probably be fine.
I'm so sorry, DCJ
My condolences on your loss DCJ.
OMG, could the rest of the internet get over this service-dog BS already? I am beginning to think that it's not polarization that leads to strong internet responses, but how relentless the shit can be. About 2 days, and thousands of posts ago, someone that I halfway know virtually told a story about a kid running up to her dogwho wasn't wearing a service vest. And I guess she was brusque about it, maybe. The kid cried(maybe?) Which is too bad, but, like, Pet People are like "Supervise kids around animals." but then some say "It's not my job to raise your kids." and push everyone's buttons. Parents cry "discrimination" and, again, with the buttons. People love to pit single people against parents. I, myself, have gone from thinking every story has two sides to wondering if we'd get this over with faster if the dog had eaten the little bastard.
cereal: Sorry, Dan. One thing about typing so slow, it ruins threads. Also, I like both dogs and kids...it's absolutely possible.
Daniel, I'm so sorry.
