Centered in the background carpet of red-bordered blue, her brilliant red headpiece and daffodil-sunshine-full of hope yellow coat, the visual was perfect.
Yes 100 times! (Also I may have pre-ordered her book yesterday)
My son was raging about people talking about the outfits at Inauguration all over his socials: @#$#MORE IMPORTANT !@#*^ POLICIES )(*%%^
Me: Yeah but Michelle Obama
M: Okay she looked amazing
Cass, how are you feeling?
Honestly really good.
I think the hyponatremia (low sodium and also, for me, low potassium at least for a while) was the issue.
So I eat lots of mini meals and I don't watch my salt intake at all.
I've felt great for last couple weeks. I can't go back to work yet but I wish I could.
Cass, that is great to hear! I'm glad you're feeling so much better.
Very glad to hear that, Cass!
That’s great, Cass!
Work has ramped up a fair bit for me—the start of the semester plus procrastinating instructors. But it’s engaging work, at least.
Skipping and skimming, do we have any Harry Potter fans Gryffindor or Slytherin houses that would like house crest pins?
3 meetings for me today. I know for many people that is nothing, but it is a lot for me and on a Friday
Catching up ... best wishes for the health of all Buffistas, Cass and anyone else who needs it. I may have one of the least exciting/interesting food allergies - I can't eat lobster - it gives me a horrible stomach ache (shrimp, crab, clams, oysters, fish of all kinds are fine). I figure it leaves more lobster for everyone else who can eat it.
I've been pretty much glued to the TV news since Monday. Couldn't go in to the office, since they closed down the city - downtown streets blocked, no traffic, Metro stations closed. I love that CBS has its "verify" feature - people send in questions and they get experts (i.e., people who actually know the subject) to answer. As in, will the vaccine alter my DNA? (no) I've mostly stayed in, since there were limits on where I could go, although I made one exciting trip to the grocery. I kept watching repeats of the inauguration. The Washington Post had almost a page devoted to the coats people were wearing (including Bernie Sanders), with commentary.
Also, the Post's Sunday magazine section had an entire article called, "Balancing darkness and light: Do 'elder Goths' hold the secrets to aging successfully?" (they seem to think yes)
I just discovered that you can hide yourself on your own screen in Zoom which makes me happy. Time for my OSHA mandated COVID safety training, whee!
That was actually informative - not much really new but just having all the information in one tidy presentation is nice. Now half an hour before my team call using Google meetings. I will never master these technologies if I have to use a different one for every meeting...
