Actually, in the Georgia case, I believe it's guilty plea #4 - the first was the bail bondsman. But it's now #3 for the lawyers (mine is an evil laugh)
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
David, might some Benadryl OINTMENT give you some relief? I've found it works well for mosquito and other bug bites as well as any allergy-related irritation (I'm suggesting the ointment on the theory it won't interact as badly with anything else)
Things that are apparently really helpful during a war, when your government is a fading simulacra of what a government should be: a zoom meeting of reading yoga scripts and their interpretations. Not even kidding, something in me really needed that.
Also, happy birthday, Kate!
Maybe a different simulation, but I feel like I know how that feels, shir. Happy birthday, Kate. Still sick of my life, but it feels a little better that my stomach doesn't hurt.
The latest Republican nominee for House Speaker dropped out 4 hours after he won the secret ballot.
Just listening to news on the radio and they were conjecturing that the reason there were 9 male speaker candidates was that the women were too smart to want that job. Now I have seen the female GOP house representatives and I haven't seen a whole lot of brains there so I don't think that is the reason. Who knows, maybe Marjorie Taylor Green will toss her hat in tomorrow.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone! I always take the day off work for my birthday, so I've spent the whole day relaxing, reading, napping, going for a walk, and talking to my brother. An excellent day so far!
Sounds perfect, Kate! Good to hear.
Back from the library dealio. The regional NPR guy did a reading of The Raven and was dressed in period duds. It was nice. I didn't win any of the raffles. Oh well.
Timelies all!
Happy birthday Kate!
I am just so tired of all this. I’m tired of not having a stove, not having privacy, Mr. S having awful nights.(I’m in the lobby yet again because I’m too frustrated with his antics, which I know isn’t fair to Gary)
How much longer before you can get back home, Sheryl?
