Gabriel: Are you trying to destroy this family? Simon: I didn't realize it would be so easy.

'Safe'

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So exhausted y’all, but so glad to be on the other side of this. I’m not even sure how to unclench my shoulders anymore but I’m working on it.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Tater tots!

Oooh. Now there's an idea.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I don't think I let my breath all the way out until the Bidens actually walked up the steps and inside the WH and the door closed behind them.

"You should never say bad things about the dead, only good… Joan Crawford is dead. Good.” —Bette Davis

A good start: [link]

In honor of the occasion I opted to order Greek takeout tonight (the birthplace of democracy, donchaknow!): mixed grill kabobs and Turkish coffee. If the latter had as much caffeine as it seems I may fall asleep sometime around the weekend.

Ugh the store is apparently a shitshow, which is why half my stuff was out—they seem to be renovating or having a huge plumbing issue or something—half the middle of the store floor is plywood and all the aisles are moved and scrunched together so that there’s a few empty ones in the middle, and there’s a ton of stuff in one aisle on clearance...and novody is picking up the line for the grocery pickup. Thumbs down.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Miserable shopping experience, meara.

I did not either. Still a little clenched.

I realized yesterday when I was doing the Buffistas-but-on-Facebook poll for the puppy dog Ghost (in the Snow)'s net name that my Facebook is full of too many people that I don't trust or want to share stuff the way I am comfortable doing here. Thankfully I only cross-posted the dog stuff and not the medical stuff. I need to cull my page. Invisible internet peeps who likely will not axe murder me are good. People who believed in Q-Anon, not so much, even if we share family.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I'm feeling really tired. Kind of like 4+ years of tension have started to ease and the muscles involved are saying, "we're done for now, thanks."

Yeah, I crashed hard during Peanut's quiet time. I'm hoping to get back to a more even keel by Friday (I'm giving myself an extra day, Just Because).

If you think you'll need to crash tomorrow, let me and Matilda know ahead of time and she can plan accordingly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I honestly did not expect to feel this much better. Lighter. It’s nice! I hope it lasts a while.

ETA I mean it’s 9:20 and still awake and not mad about it, that is unusual

Our wings are not tired.

Who knew relief could be so exhausting?
