Well, I hope it eases up and yes to comp time!
I am thinking about planning my giant train trip around seeing the eclipse in Cleveland. Ooh, or Rochester? Buffalo? Mom suggested San Antonio but it looks like I would have to get somewhere other than the train station to see totality, so I'm not sure about that. Cleveland and Buffalo and Rochester are more central to the path. That seems to be everywhere that intersects easily with the loop I had in mind.
Thanks, -t! Alll glammed up and on the streetcar.
Oh it’s almost certainly sexist but the biggest issue is that it’s all other women, so they expect “niceness” as something of a performance.
Somehow I am not surprised.
Toddson, that sounds miserable. Is there any relief in sight?
Sheesh, Dana, I hope you get lots of comp time.
-t San Antonio is only going to have a few seconds of totality in April. I've been looking for astronomical clubs and such, trying to find an event to the NW where the maximum coverage will be.
Shir, thanks for the reminder there are also forces pulling us together.
Not only no relief, but my boss stopped by to ask if I was transferring calls to our Executive Director (I'm not). I told him - again - that our voicemail tree is a mess (still has links for people who aren't on staff any more) and suggested that people are getting through that way. And our main phone number is one digit off from a hotel in the area, so we get some of their calls as well.
In good news, today we can celebrate the birth of Calli! Happy birthday, and may this day and the year to come be filled with delightful surprises.
I missed something along the way, Toddson, I thought you retired.
ah, would that I could. I've started receiving Social Security, but I'm still turning up at the office
Happy birthday, Calli!! Miss you and hope I get to see you next time I’m in NC.
