David that is so much to deal with. I hope you can get a reprieve soon.
I found out why I have not been terminated from Belk. The HR manager at the store keeps trying to but corporate keeps telling her not to because they are waiting for something from the works comp adjuster.
Which I find fitting and funny. So I won't think about it anymore.
I hope you can get a reprieve soon.
Me too!
I just talked to the youth shelter, and they won't place siblings together. Not sure why they have that policy, but undoubtedly it's rooted in some hard experience.
But the girls are not going to be happy about that.
However, they do have phones now and will be able to keep their electronics while doing their schoolwork, and they will see each other at school every day. So they will have plenty of contact with each other still.
So, that's going to be stressful dropping them off this evening. But that is the only option going forward. And I need the garden apartment back for incoming relatives for the funeral.
Beyond which, I just need to clear some fraught emotional shit off my plate. It's hard enough doing the every day plus all the bureaucratic stuff.
Oh David, there is only so much you can do, and you have gone above and beyond. I hope you are able to get some rest before the next wave of fraught emotional shit.
Oof. Rough talk. They're upset, but we're going forward.
Aw, that sucks. You(and they, it sounds like) need to talk about simple stuff for a while.
Happier resolution!
I dropped Malia off at Huckleberry.
Then I took Niki over to Diamond Youth Center. (mere blocks away and all within a mile of my house, and their HS)
Parked the car, came upstairs and immediately got a call from Niki. Diamond Youth accepts siblings and they had an extra bed.
So shot back out, collected Malia and reunited her with her sister Niki. They are together tonight.
And
now
I'm having a cocktail.
David, you've been doing and going through so much. I'm happy for the happy resolution.
Sending cocktails via intertubes.
David, I'm happy there was a happier resolution there.
