Take a lesson from me. Don't slice the tip of your thumb to the point of needing five stitches while making dinner.
Been there, have the dead nerves and scarring to show for it. Do not recommend. Hope it heals quickly.

Thank you for the video Shir, I needed that cry. I can only imagine how much you are doing just to keep it together.
By now I figured out that the new routine to function is to wake up up every morning, reach for my phone, read some updates and cry a bit, and then start the day. Because every morning I wake up and for a moment everything feels almost normal. And then I remember.
That's so great, Shir.(And I don't think you're wrong about your government. even knowing there are other world situations I know more about. Sometimes, our leaders suck.) I found something nice JZ wrote about me on Facebook three years ago, today, in the midst of some culture-war stupid about comic books. Although I'm not a secret criminal mastermind or anything, I'm not sure I've ever deserved being one of "The best people she knows," I think anyone who could say that of me knows, like, twelve people and escapes from a cult. Jacqueline could say that, having a crowd.(or two. I'm legitimately not sure why, even though that *totally* seems like fishing for compliments, even as I typed it. But clearly, there's something we didn't remember in the same way. I am, often, one of the worst, or at least, least-successful people I know. Maybe she thought I was good at making chicken salad from chicken shit, or whatever metaphor a vegetarian might use for 'making love out of nothing at all" as Air Supply used to say.) But, still, she said that. I'm honored. Even if we all look better next to Wendy Rogers.
Shir, I've done that about far less.
Timelies all!
Hugs and ~ma for all who need/want it.
Two of the five stitches had to go through my thumb nail, those are the ones that hurt today.
Ouch, I felt that one, ND.
Shir, I don't even know how you get through the day. Sending whatever ~ma helps the most.
ow!
ouch! That really sucks ND
The only thing I know about prepaid phones is I've used Straight Talk and it's not the cheapest but it's on Verizon so it works everywhere here.
I volunteered today and stayed all day (didn't mean to but Crafty Friend asked me too). I remembered that working directly with Crafty Friend kind of bugs me because while she is a very nice person she is very anal about things and kind of micromanage-ish and wants help but then doesn't want to actually let me do anything. She's actually made up a pricing guideline for a lot of the papercraft stuff--which is awesome!--but she hasn't printed it out because "there are still things I need to add" . I pointed out that if it was printed then she could give it to a volunteer to price things and then print out an updated list later , she told me "that doesn't make sense". But actually it was nice to see her and everyone else. The creative reuse center has gotten a lot busier and they are doing a lot of business and getting a lot of donations--including a Giant Beaker (from the Muppets) it's a...statue thing I think and only the upper half of him. I'll try to take a picture it's cool.
And in a box of donations was a pair of handmade Victorian style boots. Not from that era but a replica that someone made. Really really cool (although missing some buttons).
But the best thing is K, the resource manager, told me he was getting top surgery on Nov 16! He was so happy and excited (and kind of nervous especially since the date is so close) and I was really excited for him too. K is just an awesome person and knowing he will do this and be able to be happier is great.
