"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

They were great. We had an understudy for Euridicye and they were also great. I was least interested in Orpheus, which may be baked into the show, but that's a hard part to sing.

Ooh, I am fascinated by the Etruscans! Good one, Calli!

I submitted my time card and saw that my vacation pay out was, uh, paid. I feel like actually getting out of bed and doing work is unnecessary at this point. It’s not, but it feels like it should be.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Healing to David.

Low reactions to all getting shots. I’m going to get my shots later this month.

I’m currently on the train for my friend’s memorial. 2 months since she passed.

Work remains a cluster. Boss is now on admin leave and there is going to be an outside investigation into allegations of a hostile workplace and unethical practices. Giant poop show.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh, msbelle. I hope the investigation yields some positive changes. May the memorial be comforting.

{{msbelle}} I hope the memorial is good

Dang on the workplace! At least something is being done, I guess.

I have thrown on a caftan and logged on to work AND my arm isn't even sore from the flu shot so my day is better than expected so far!

I have an appointment for Monday for shots. Won’t kick in before my trip next weekend but better than nothing. Several places around here when I had tried to sign up a week ago didn’t have the new covid vaccines yet.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Hope you're feeling better this morning, David.

I had a doctor appointment last week so I got my flu shot and my first shingles shot. They weren't going to be getting the most updated covid shot so we agreed I should just get it from the pharmacy. I need to schedule my shingles follow up shot, but the first one really knocked me out so I'll probably need to aim for late afternoon on a Friday so I don't find myself snoozing at my desk.

I hope your friend's memorial is comforting for you, msbelle.

Yikes! At least there is an investigation, not a "sweep it under the rug". Hope it yields some good results.

The shingles vaccine is a doozy

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Several places around here when I had tried to sign up a week ago didn’t have the new covid vaccines yet.

Yeah, it feels like we were slower to get them out here than a lot of places. I only got mine as soon as I did because I was checking all my local pharmacies' websites daily. So far I haven't had any real side effects, just a sore arm. One of my coworkers got hers over lunch yesterday and mentioned a couple hours later that she had a splitting headache, but given the stress levels we all currently have due to Workday Finance, which is the WORST, we agreed it's hard to know where to place the blame. (I cried at work yesterday--briefly, it was one of those things where you dash furious, frustrated tears from your eyes and dive back in, but I don't cry easily and can't remember the last time I did so over WORK.)

The pharmacy gave me a coupon for 10% off my grocery purchase. It's not where I usually shop and I didn't need much, but I grabbed some 8-packs of seltzer, several cans of soup that were on sale for my church's food pantry donation box, assorted snacks including a pack of Oreos because it'd been a long week and I wanted to treat myself, and two nice bottles of wine for my contribution to a dinner I'm going to tonight. The bagger, who was giving off snarky grandma vibes, looked at it all and said, "You know you're not supposed to shop hungry, right?" I took in the spirit I thought it was meant and laughed, though I was thinking, "You know you're not supposed to critique your customers' life choices, right?"

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I just realized that this super-irritating guy who's one of our client's SMEs is an energy vampire. No wonder meetings with him are so exhausting and repetitive.
