I am adjusting to work and I think I'm doing ok although I went and told the store manager that yes I was making sure all the product was together on top stock only to realize that I hadn't on an aisle that she'd asked me to work AND she was putting out product and realized I hadn't.
But then I ended up chatting with some co workers after I got off about tv and music including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural. The woman and I started talking about Buffy to convince the guy he needed to see it and I mentioned The Body and she was relating to how she was grounded when it was on and had to sneak to watch it and try not to get caught. Although I am not sure she meant the original airing but watching it on streaming or a rerun.
And the guy had watched Angel but not Buffy I'm not sure how and started to watch Buffy because he liked Angel but he wasn't in the show enough so he lost interest. Plus he didn't think it was as good as Supernatural.
Although even though he is a really big fan of the show he didn't seem to know the actors names it was so different the way they were talking about various shows and being fans and how I've been fannish about shows. But still it's really nice to have co workers to geek out with about things.
David, I am so sorry for this second loss so close on the heels of the other. When losses pile up like that, the odd combination of pain and grief and numbness and disassociation can begin to make even simple things seem very, very difficult. I hope you have both space and time to find your way through. And we are here. Our wings are not tired.
Kills me a little to know it's the one year anniversary of her getting her desk. She didn't even get a year of it to write. She wanted so much more.

Thank you!! My birthday is starting off with a number of hopefully minor annoyances, and I am trying not to focus on those things. Woke up with possible pinkeye, currently missing work while at urgent care, swallowed a pill wrong so my throat is all scraped, couldn’t find my keys when they were in my pocket (a feat generally possible only while wearing dude shorts, which I am).
That kind of crap. So, breathing through it and trying not to worry that I might have to cancel my party tomorrow. I could really use a gathering of friends right now.
