How are you feeling, Hil? You’re going back to work tomorrow, right?
Feeling OK. Not 100%, but well enough to go to work tomorrow -- it's a relatively light day, just teaching two classes. Still covered with all sorts of scary-looking bruises (on my arms from the IVs and cuffs, and on my chest from the CPR) that will show when I'm wearing a short-sleeved shirt, so prepared to get some stares and questions from students and/or colleages.

Jesus, Hil! That's terrifying, and I'm so glad you called 911 when you felt off.
That's amazing that you are already going back to work, Hil! I hope you are not pushing yourself too fast, but I'm glad you didn't need more invasive measures.
Totally, on both fronts.
(and if somebody says "what are the odds?" you are uniquely positioned to answer.)
Take it easy tomorrow, Hil! I hope it goes well for you.
Hil, I can't help but think how much that has to say about dealing with chronic pain. Back to work just after getting out of the hospital. Try not to overdo it.
I suppose that's true. But I can't say that as if I wouldn't do it, Mom being on the Olympic Functioning Team
If it were possible to take the rest of the week off, I probably would, but my students have an exam on Friday that I can't reschedule, and I already owe so many people favors for covering classes for me. I'll take it easy as much as I can, and rest if I need to.
Timelies all!
Take it easy as much as you can, Hil.
