I am in awe of all the beautiful and coherent sentiments in this thread about JZ's passing. (Though I was also often in awe of her beautiful, spicy brains and words.)
David, Matilda, Sunny, Lisa...reading about their heartbreak and reactions made my heart hurt. I'm so sad we all now live in a JZ-less world, it feels like the darkest timeline.
Then I read about new human Arthur and alien rave salons and Karl hugs and I can take a breath knowing good shit still happens.

My Friend Maria swooped down tonight after work and took me to the beach. She knew just the right thing to do. Today at work was unfun, as it is super busy opening the semester and I was not firing on all cylinders. I just sort of skipped a meeting by mistake and I reacted poorly to people’s poor planning/persistently not letting me do my job. I tried to be kind thinking of JZ, but I sort of panicked about a big thing that I now need to do before September 15 that I didn’t even know about.
