Yay going home, Arthur and fam!
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
David, because I'm me, I immediately researched how to anchor a lifeline solidly.
The lifeline has a shock absorber to cushion impacts to the extremities in case of a fall.
This seems like the very best metaphor for our community I've ever imagined.
And, I'll add a lyric from one of my favorite bands. "We don't have to worry, 'cause when we fall, we know how to land."
Yay for Arthur going home!
Huzzah for Arthur going home!!
Yay, Arthur!
Huh. Smonster, I think your post hit a possible quick edit + autolink bug we might or might not of known about. (I did click edit, but all I did was break your link to a new line, as Natter's body text had been all italics on mobile Chrome.)
Go Team Normal Noisy Baby!
So here I am. I'm not scary; I'm just lurking.
I welcome your unscary hugs at all times, Karl.
I dreamed something this morning about having something to tell DX and being sad that I couldn't.
Ooofdah! Mortality dreams galore.
I have an appointment at Green Street Mortuary in North Beach at 1pm.
They called this morning.
Me: This is David Smay...
JoJo: This is Green Street Mortuary. My name is JoJo. Your wife came into our care last night. Do you want to make an appointment to come in?"
Me: Yes, can I come in around 1pm?
JoJo: 1pm! Good. Bring your wife's driver's license and SSN so I can make the death certificate. Look for JoJo!
So "Looking for JoJo" has now replaced "Waiting for Godot" in my existential pantheon.

Plei, I threw a close link into my post, which seems to have fixed it downstream.
ita taught me that lesson years ago with a very stern talking to!
I was still getting all the italics, all the time on mobile! It was most def. weird, but throwing smonster's link onto a new line fixed it. It's like it hurled when it had to both make italics AND automatically generate a link + [link].
Karl is such a master at hugging that he finally almost made me get why those strangers wanted to touch me all the time when I was younger. (Well, that, and wanting to see if the Crippled Magic could rub off, I suppose.) Much like I hadn't tasted a great tomato till I was about fifteen, getting hugged at an f2f was like "Oh, that's what people like when they do that."
