Welcome to the world, Arthur! (Sorry about the bits that are on fire, but we’re working on that.)
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Welcome Arthur!
Sorry about the upsetting dream, Tom. Subconsciouses can be right bastards.
(Sorry about the bits that are on fire, but we’re working on that.)
Seriously, I hope some progress is made before he has to step up.
Welcome Arthur! And congratulations, Debet and family!
New baby! Welcome to the world, Arthur!
Welcome, Arthur! I love that new human smell.
Jacqueline is in her bed. On morphine. She is surrounded by a circle of her closest women friends and Matilda. And they are all talking and getting drunk.
I’m putting this down in my advance directive.
Welcome, Arthur!
I shall be having a glass of pomegranate punch in JZ’s honor tonight.
Update on the OT: she was, in fact, very happy with Tim's progress in terms of his back. However, because she is awesome and wants to treat the whole patient, when Tim was describing problems he's been having with his rheumatoid arthritis pain since surgery (he can't take any anti-inflammatories for 6 months, because they inhibit bone growth, and bone growth is necessary for the spinal fusion to, well, fuse), she was like "I have solutions for your RA pain!" (Where "solutions" means some ergonomic changes, as well as some exercises he can do.) So she's going to come to the house once a week for a month.
It takes a goddamn village to get a Tim back on his feet.
PT and OT peeps are amazing with their tips and tricks.
New baby! When Jacqueline was pregnant we Bitches were discussing New Baby scent, and I said my favorite thing is rubbing my upper lip and tip of my nose across a fuzzy near-bald infant head. So brief a time to do that in a baby's life. And Jacqueline said when Matilda came I was welcome to hold her and schnoozle her scalp. Physical distance prevented actually getting to do that, but I have and always will remember that moment of connection between Jacqueline and me.
Welcome, Arthur! It's a wild old world, but there are bright spots and beauties just waiting for you to discover!
