Thank you, javachik. You are wonderful.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Tim's first night home was a little rougher than expected, but things will get smoother from here
The first night after the surgery pain meds is a terrible adjustment. Glad he’s staying ahead of the pain.
I don’t like feeling helpless when there is a mountain of practical shit to be done.
Thanks for the trans wardrobe links. Oliver doesn’t have any trouble finding clothes, but Robin has a lot more difficulty matching her clothes to her gender identity. And that’s WITH ME as a mom (the person who will throw money around clothes shopping like paper at a ticker tape parade).
I hope JZ gets home safe and is more comfortable at home. David, I know you have a support team and this is a nightmare of planning and stuff but hand iff any task you possibly can.
My brother in law always amazed me with his ability to effectively co-parent with his ex. The “kid” is 20 now and a junior in college and they never went through the courts to manage any custody or child support issues. Which, in this day and age (and with infidelity at the root of their breakup) is a miracle of patience and decency.
Today I took a ferry across Sydney Harbor to see the opera house and bridge. I did that with billytea nearly 20 years ago, and was why I suggested it to my friend. Made me think so fondly of the many long long memories and friends we’ve made here.
I can also vouch for Transform Cincinnati as an organization - I know a couple of families with trans kids who are supporters and have been supported by the organization.
I am thinking of the zmayhems and our community all the time although I am bad at posting.
Thank you, javachick.
I hope the gi tube placement went well.
In less fraught news, I dropped Javier, formerly Amyth’s kitty, off at the vet yesterday for ACL surgery. He came through fine, and I’ll be picking him up today. My elder kitty, Leifur, was a bit confused about why he was suddenly an only cat again, and I missed Javier’s shy presence.
David, is JZ out of the g-tube placement?
Yes, they brought her back to her room around 3pm. But kind of left me in the dark during her recovery phase. Apparently everything went fine.
We're receiving the suction machine from hospice today for her G-Tube. I'm going to need some insider tips, kat!
I've wondered about you and your family.
The boy is learning to drive and tend bar while he waits for A-level results and figures out what the hell to do next. The girl is obsessed with musicals, feminist takes on fantasy, and brilliant episodic TV but anyone wanna bet which show she has stubbornly refused to watch throughout the whole of high school?
Thank you, javachik.

It warms my heart that Javier has a loving home with you.
Good to hear the G-tube procedure took place without issues.

What!?! You are clearly a failure. But you have time yet.

Bwah! Ain't that the way. JZ could never get Matilda to sit through My So Called Life, her most beloved show, even when Matilda was the same age and experiencing the same things.
