Cindy, I looked at your poll but none of it remotely applied to me so I just gave it a like without voting.
I'm in a meeting that could not have been an email but that I don't need to be in. And yet I can't leave.
-t, surely that's one of the circles of hell? Or aimless waiting rooms of purgatory? Anyhow, it sounds miserable. However, I have a vague notion of PO modifications (from having done holiday party deposits and reimbursements) and how fiendishly hard they are, so I am super chuffed for you on that front.
I still have two hours to kill but almost no day-job stuff to do (a little, but it will be both short and tedious, so I'm avoiding for the moment). For the first time in a while I am almost, very slightly, mildly regretful that the current occupant is banned from Twitter, because today's shitfit must be epic; but I'm only almost, because the reality would surely be terrifying.
Only 10 house republocans voted for impeachment. Removal won't be happening. Best case scenario now is a law to block him from ever running for office again.
Funnily enough, I just had a call with my boss wherein he wanted to know if I had any feedback about said meeting. I did indeed. I did *not* say it was a total waste of time.
Mmmm. Got my peach cobbler from a new bbq place that opened up a few blocks from my house during quarantine times so I haven't been to the actual restaurant and this is actually the first time I've ordered from them because of the vagaries of finding an intersection amonth their open times and my having money times and my not being currntly obsessed with some other kind of food times but it all came together today! Yum.
Ate the dessert first because of reasons, but also got some bbq and sides to try. So far so good.
The mac & cheese is ON POINT
Timelies all!
Waiting for the e-mail from the appropriate people at work letting me know I can schedule the 1st COVID vaccine shot.
Thanks, JZ. I was hoping people would share it to get an idea of how much this happened, but it didn't catch people's eye. It's a little gross that Disney-ABC, as a company, is bifurcating impeachment programming from its news division, based on location.
We've spent four years normalizing increasingly grotesque and extraordinary behavior... I think it's going to be like adjusting to being back on dry land after months at sea.
Best case scenario now is a law to block him from ever running for office again.
McConnell may actually be on-board to do that. He wants his party back.
So today I noticed I had 2 new episodes of ZEP in my Hulu queue, and watched them. Also, I became a grandparent, and drove to NY and back, and the disgrace in the White House is Impeached, again. Then I went to see how far behind I was here so I could talk about stuff, and it was thousands of posts. So, Laura diet, I skipped massive numbers of posts and went to first post of the day. Life is overwhelming, but if I stick to the day forward maybe I can do this.
First post today was msbelle talking about Disney! My SILs, other friend, and their kids went there Monday. They said it was incredible. With the low occupancy rate there was zero waiting in lines for anything. They were delighted and didn't feel unsafe at all.
Still no vaccines here. My doctors said I should have gotten mine when I was in NY because FL is the worst. I know a lot of people already vaccinated up there. Boo, Florida!
And Impeachment! Yes, we still have to live through another week, but I feel more hopeful. I watched with a large buffer to enable skipping over the people I don't care to hear. I have no guilt about that.
