One week in the Adirondacks. I'm still camped out at my sister's because my bathroom isn't functional yet. I did pick out the most beautiful tile for said bathroom yesterday. They say a day or two because the toilet won't go in until the floor is done, and no flooring until the walls are done. Sigh. They are putting in a heated floor, so my toes won't freeze when I get out of the shower in the morning. So many cool super nice elements in the new abode.
DH has gone nuts with the kitchen. Nifty oven that even has 'no preheat air frying', and all manner of features. A dishwasher, which is a crazy level of luxury in a summer cottage. Very happy to have the propane stovetop and tankless water heater, because they will make my life very pleasant. He even is putting in an actual furnace thing so no more little space heaters around the place. Hard to imagine when it is so warm now, but summer doesn't last long here.
The new septic system also involved burying the pipes deeper, and they replaced most of my water lines with flexible stuff instead of copper so less likelihood of bursting in freezing weather. We will still drain the water before I leave for Florida in the fall.

Sounds like it's coming together beautifully!
We're packing up the hotel to head to the hospital. We've got a 1:30 flight and a tight schedule at the hospital so will need to have them speed up the pump. Always a little stressful when you have to squeeze one element to get the flight schedule to work, but it should be okay.
Really eager to be home again, and there's no later flight so...have to make it happen.
Oh good, we got the easy going Russian nurse who took us early and is happy to help us get out of here on time.
When the charge nurse says “Here’s your 11 o’clock” and it’s 10am your nurse isn’t obliged to be that flexible.
Sigh of relief.
I'm so sorry, msbelle. What a hard time.

Yay! You deserve to get a break with your tight schedule.
Timelies all!
I’m sorry, msbelle.
Am at Closing Ceremonies. We are staying until Wednesday, and will be site-seeing the next couple days.
I'm sorry, msbelle.
I've apparently reversed my sleeping schedule somehow this weekend. I was up most of the night (cooked a meal at 3am since I was hungry rather than sleepy), then slept til 2 this afternoon. Lucky I had no obligations or plans for the day, beyond potting my dragonfruit cactus sprouts.
I'm so sorry, msbelle.

This reminded me that I need to follow up with potential contractors. We're trying to remodel bathrooms and earthquake retrofit the house, and Wednesday evening I emailed three potential contractors for each task, figuring they'd all call or email to schedule the next day. But only one of them followed up so far, so I guess I need to find more options or, like, contact the original ones on the phone like it's the 20th century or something.
Yay! You deserve to get a break with your tight schedule.
Home by 3:30 and now I'm hooked on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Charismatic cast!
