health-ma matt. you've had a lot of stress, jz.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Matt, that is lousy, but it sounds like there's an effective treatment. So, health~ma that it all goes smoothly.
Health~ma to Matt's mom
Much health~ma to your mom, Matt.
My fingers are very wobbly lately. I've also accidentally ordered an Uber and invited a friend to join a tag group she's not interested in.
Hard night here. My friend passed while I was sitting with her. She had moved to hospital hospice late Wednesday night and has stopped verbal communication by Thursday. I’m staying with her husband for the next day and a half.
Oh msbelle that is hard.
We drove down from Auckland today and stopped at a hike that was supposed to be 1km. We accidentally turned and ended up on a slightly longer hike….that was all up stairs. After forever we asked someone who said there were another 600-700 stairs and I said no and we turned around….but we had to go back down the 600-700 stairs we’d already gone up! Ugh.
Then we went to glow worm caves, which were very cool. And then drove to our hotel and tried to walk to the pub next door for food and they apparently didn’t expect the World Cup traffic and said it was a two hour wait for food and they weren’t seating anyone else. The place down the street said the same thing so now we are in a town 20 minutes away where they were willing to seat us!
Tomorrow, Hobbiton.
I’m sorry, msbelle.
JZ, chemo brain is definitely a thing. Please extend yourself grace about forgetting things.
I’m not really looking forward to going to a work conference tomorrow (so many people), but I am looking forward to getting away for a bit. Since I work from home, I’ve seen a lot of my apartment, even with structured (and generally followed) plans to get out and about every weekend. And, of course, the 90+ F temps, combined with walking-through-soup levels of humidity do not make me want to take random jaunts around town. September will be better.
I'm so sorry, msbelle. Love and comfort to you and everyone who loved her.
Matt, that's hard to hear, I'm sorry, and also I'm glad it sounds very treatable.
Watching the birds this morning.
I’m so sorry, msbelle. Sending love.
I am so sorry, msbelle.
Health~ma with a side of quick and effective treatment for your mom, Matt.
Also some steady~finger~ma sent your way, JZ. The exhaustion can manifest in so many different ways.
Sorry about the extra steps, and extra food delays, but yay for other side of the world sporting adventures!
