And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

According to the Google misery index the worst day of the year will be a Wednesday in mid/late April.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Huh. So T. S. Eliot was right. At least somewhat.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds right.

We had a windstorm here overnight. I am relieved to say my newest tent did not break and collapse like my previous tent did! Yay. On the other hand, all week I’ve been convinced it’s the next day—today I woke up and thought “well, at least it’s Thursday”. And then went “...wait, crap, no it’s not”.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

the worst day of the year will be a Wednesday in mid/late April.

I have no argument against that.

Just hang on, it's still installing.

This made me laugh. Picturing the spinny hourglass thing, maybe a status bar crawling to the right. Then we'll have to restart.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

...are you camping in a tent in your backyard?

What is even happening?

Thanks for the Gud news, Hec and Gris.

my bil got his second covid shot and it kinda through him for a loop, where the first one did not - some there is anecdata of 1.

Make that anecdate of 2, msbelle. My son's girlfriend (RN) got her second shot last week. She ended up with a fever and had to call in sick to work for a day. It was pretty much that short-lived, though.

That's just an immune system response, right? Your body goes, "Hey, I know this guy. He's an asshat. Go get him."

In other news, I have C-SPAN on for the House Impeachment vote. Jim Jordan is roundly terrible, and he has a lot of company.

Okay. That's not news. I've got nothing.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

TCG is getting his shot today as a town employee. I have no idea when I'll get mine. My mom and stepdad miss the cut off for the first stage in their state by 2 years, which is terribly frustrating, but I'm hoping my 93 year old grandfather will get one very soon.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Yay TCG. I am selfishly hoping that as a County employee that is in a building with employees in and out of, including public safety that we are slightly above general public. Maybe after all over 65, public safety, essential workers, teachers.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

He works for a small town with not a lot of employees. So I guess they figured that they had enough after the first responders in town to cover the rest of the town employees. I never thought he'd be getting it before me, although Spina Bifida doesn't count toward my number of risk factors, which pisses me off because being disabled should have some benefits in life.
