Jeez, don't get all Movie of the Week. I was just too cheap to buy you a real present.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have a headache again and it’s too hot out but I’m taking ltc back to the library today because they’re having a craft hour making sand art.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just got a friend request from someone in Nigeria who is using my congressman's profile picture. I feel like they are not putting a lot of effort into tricking me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, I'm sorry you're going through this, JZ.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm just surfacing from a migraine day in bed and now there's a tornado watch. It would be really helpful if they could narrow down the area as it approaches.

YOU GUYS. I was having drinks with a friend from work, and her mother died this spring, and we were talking about that, and finally I was like, "Have you ever watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and she was like YES. She rewatched the whole thing over COVID!

So anyway, we agreed it's always sudden.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Tim bought a recliner from La-Z-Boy ahead of his surgery (after his heart surgery, he found that a recliner was the most comfortable option for recovery [plus he's an old man and it's time for a recliner]), and it was delivered this morning. Murderbiscuit is viewing it with DEEP suspicion. That cat hates any sort of change to his routine even more than I do. (Which I blame on the fact that I'm the human he spends the most time with, so my loathing of change transferred to him.) Of course, I also suspect Murderbiscuit will be curled up and napping on it before noon, because he's going to decide pretty quickly that, like all the other items in the house, it belongs to him.

My cat very much enjoys sitting on my recliner, but haaaaaates it when I un-recline it. But it's an old one, and so it makes a loud noise.

Love to recline!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I spotted a cartoon captioned "Indiana Jones and the Comfy Chair" - Indy in a recliner, hat and whip hanging on the wall, boots on the floor underneath.

Thrive to spite them

JZ I hope your stomach cooperates while you have friends visiting.

I got a call yesterday that the settlement check is ready. I go to the lawyers today and sign the paper work and I'm done. I dithered around and didn't get glasses under my current vision insurance. I may wait until I get a new job to get new ones. I'll see.

I've felt caught in limbo and I guess this will change. Once the check clears I'm paying off my credit card debt. I was dithering about having a larger chunk in my bank accounts vs having it all gone . So I thought of just paying off some of it. But I realized that paying it off means less going out each month so the amount in the bank won't go down as fast. And once I'm working again it means more of my paycheck is mine. Im also going to call Geico and pay off my car insurance.

And I'm going to mail off the things I've had since I went to Florida that I meant to send to people and haven't because I don't know why. I have weird anxiety about the post office.
