I'm kind of processing things right now.
But hey in better news I spent the day with Crafty Friend and we worked on our own projects and chatted and got to know each other more. And that was really fun and the Recraft store is opening up to volunteers again next week or the week after so I'm finally going to start volunteering there. Since talkign to Crafty Friend about the people who work and volunteer there it seems like a place where I can start to feel more like a part of a community .
lisah -I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have had a settlement, I probably would have just given up on trying to get care and gone back to work. And I would have had a job. I'm basing this on the 4 people I know who were injured at work and went through worker's comp.
Three of them just gave up trying to get care after a certain amount of time and one of them had surgery although it was delayed.
Three of those people who were injured were in fulfillment with me (2 were trip hazards and I'm not sure about the other).
Well, mom has passed. Yesterday evening was pretty rough, she wasn’t able to speak and we weren’t sure how to help her or what she wanted. But it was pretty clearly near the end and now in the wee hours of the morning, she’s gone. This is stupid.
Oh, meara, I am so sorry and sending so much love for you and your family as you're going through this awful loss.
I am so sorry, meara. This was just so painfully quick. Sending my love to you and your family.
Separately, and to provide some balance in our lives, today we do have cause for celebration. Today we celebrate the birthday of Javachik. I do hope you are spoiling yourself today and that the year to come is filled with joy.
I’m so sorry meara. Keeping you in my thoughts.
Sending virtual hugs, meara
