You guys, a friend of mine is driving to the Arctic Ocean from Cincinnati (which is not a thing I knew a person could do until she planned her trip). She's in her mid-60s, took an early retirement, bought a fully tricked-out campervan, and has been making treks all over the US for the last year or two. And this summer is her bucket list trip of driving up through the US into Canada and the Yukon Territory up to the Arctic Circle (she crossed into the Arctic Circle on Tuesday) so she can jump in the Arctic Ocean. She's been thoroughly documenting it with photos on Facebook, and it's been delightful to follow along.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
That sounds amazing! It also makes me remember my friend Carlos (who was himself from the Yukon) who took a bus from Montreal to Mexico City.
That's so great!

How very cool! In both senses.
That sounds like an amazing trip!
Boris Johnson is standing down as the Conservative MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, after he was sanctioned for lying to Parlaiment.
And the hits just keep coming.
Man, with that and the details from the Trump indictment, today's been a pretty good day.
As somebody else who's...fairly chill but people don't want to see me get really pissed twice, I can appreciate that you might bring the same energy, Hec. (Except maybe not *totally* the same because people wouldn't boggle like they're getting cussed out by a broken Hummel figurine and want their co-workers to watch. But maybe close.) Glad you're not getting stranded.
Amused by the following observation -
Pat Robertson is dead, and somewhere out there a dyslexic Twilight fan is crying.
You know the stress is high when I have a telemedicine appointment checking up on your anti-depressants and the doctors shifts gears from, "I think you are in a good place to get handed off back to your GP since you are stable" to "I'm going to raise your dose and I'll talk to you in three weeks"
Sigh.
