Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, that is wild to me.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Things may change - with all the pressure teachers are under, I would think teaching five or six classes - small classes, I'd guess - they might look on it as a relief.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

But 5 or 6 different classes, so you have to prep that many lesson plans rather than being able to re-use, is rough.

Our wings are not tired.

Let's just say that the students don't have any trouble making the sports teams! They do have to work around practice schedules since the same kids are in all the sports (no football, but skiing). I looked at the website and they list 39 teachers, so 3 teachers per class level. 257 students pre-k to 12, or less than 7 students per teacher total. They work it out. As I say, not like my school years but the graduates seem to like it. My nephew never dated anyone he went to school with because he observed that it meant having to spend a whole lot of time with your ex if it didn't work out.

Exactly. The excessive number of lesson plans is what made my niece-in-law decide not to teach there. She would have been the only Spanish teacher for the whole school. So she drives quite a distance to another district. This resulted in my great nephew not going to the school his dad went to, which annoys my sister despite my explaining repeatedly that the kid has to go to the same school as his teaching parent. He misses out on going to the local school, but he is in a bigger school with more programs and options. Also, having the same vacation schedule as mom, which pretty essential.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I know this could all change at any moment but I’m so grateful and amazed. It’s so much more than I expected.

That is really wonderful to hear! I've been thinking about you both.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Party ON, Mozzie!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

18 seniors? My graduating class was 450 people. Granted, the school didn't just serve my hometown, but also surrounding towns. Still, I didn't know many people outside my classes...
