Unfortunately, there's a scary sector of US voters who will see that as a plus, rather than a deal-breaker.
Yeah, it was a horrifying read... and completely unsurprising that he seemed to enjoy witnessing the torture... and was so cruelly deceitful in his purpose for being there.
I had exactly the same right, Calli. There's a huge segment who would have stood right there with him enjoying the scenes, and they probably regretted they only got to read about it.
More and more, cruelty is the goal, and that's accepted and acceptable. There's no other explanation I can see.
Aw. I do know where my towel is! I don't think I can lay my hands on any lilac easily, maybe next year I can plan ahead.
I am a hoopy frood who had a hard-boiled egg for breakfast.
Timelies all!
Tomorrow we head up to Baltimore for Balticon. We will bring Mr. S over for a day, but no overnights. Should be fun.
Sounds good Sheryl! I hope it’s a really good time.
Came home from fancy drinks tonight and made myself a grilled cheese. Popped into my bedroom to grab a sweater and came back to see the dogs in opposite corners of the living room each with one half of the sandwich.
I'm sure they appreciated your cooking for them!
I got locked out of my yoga class midway through last night; I had to duck out to got to the bathroom. I found it deeply funny. (I'm on a monthly pass, so no refund needed.) Like, how bad is your karma to get locked out of the place where they're constantly trying to help you up your karma game?
or, perhaps, your karma is up as far as it can go?

Bad puppies!
"Locked Out of Yoga Class" sounds like a lifestyle piece in NYT.
We're having coffee and tea and pastries in our hotel room this morning before we head over around 8:15. We'll find out the results of the scan this morning.
JZ has been sleepy sleepy sleepy on this round of meds but she's up and perky this morning.
Well fuck. My mom has been having some trouble with her diabetes lately despite trying some new meds, and lost a bunch of weight on one of them and was feeling awful but her blood sugar was finally ok …ended up at the hospital last night and probably has liver and pancreatic cancer. Fuuuuuvk. This is especially bad because (a) my sister no longer lives nearby and (b) we fully expected my mom to outlive my dad (who is in terrible health and has been for 20 years, and really can’t care for himself). Fuck.
