Pretty hummingbirds!

Happy birthday, Karl!
Happy Birthday, Karl!
We are going to the Winchester Apple Blossom Festival today -- DH found it this morning. Pretty drive out to a Winchester , so even if it's a dud, no one loses. Plus, there's a ferris wheel.
But first, we swim.
Good days, all.
Happy birthday, Karl!
Dance recital is today. Anyone who wants to picture me in a Shirley Temple dance costume is free to do so.

Pretty! Take pictures.
I just had the most heartwarming call from one of my office managers. This practice only treats children for speech and/or occupational therapy. Mostly autistic children. Their office is fun with toys and even has a sandbox. Definitely one of my more interesting practices. They bought a bunch of tablets for their therapists who go on home or school visits and Brendon went by to get them all set up for remote access. He was working at the lunchroom table when one of the children came through. She told me the child had been in therapy for ten years after being diagnosed with echolalia, which is where the child just parrots what is said to them. The therapist said to the child, "This is Brendon, he is fixing our computers". The child turned to Brendon said hi and stuck out his hand to shake. (he did it 3 times and of course, Brendon happily reciprocated) The therapist was overwhelmed and cried with the mother because he never initiates behavior, only mimics it. Of course, DH didn't know this wasn't his normal behavior and has always connected well with kids. So the office manager called me this morning to let me know what had happened, and she was choked up telling me about it. Me, I'm not surprised because children are always drawn to him. Also, filled with awwwww.
