Air show with all the unexpected guests actually ended up going well. Brendon went to the beach with the 5 girls and 7 of his team, and I stayed on the balcony with my sisters. I laid out a bunch of food which was appreciated by all. Teenage basketball players can eat! The security people were super complimentary about the boys. Several of them came up and told him what a well-behaved bunch they were. They are really, which is why he didn't hesitate to have them over. They walked down to the public access then joined the rest of our gang on the beach. Great air show and the weather was perfect. The beachgoers were all sunburned, while the balcony dwellers were not.
2nd day of the show today although it started several hours late because of storms. Zooming around now. Also Heat basketball playoff! And my sister's birthday.
Timelies all!
Another Malice in the books(so to speak). More authors to check out. Next year will be interesting, as it will be in the middle of Passover.(Passover is very late next year) I guess I'll be bringing my lunch every day...
Ran the dog in the woods, washed the dog (she rolled in something disgusting), then did a bunch of yard work, including yet another attempt to block the holes under the fence by which the rats transit into my yard. The house behind me has not been well-maintained and is now being flipped (again). I doubt the flippers or realtors will deal with the rats either.
Watched the Dubs game (yay, Steph Curry is a fucking miracle), now I'm roasting vegetables so I will have lunches this week. I'm going to class at the local CG base and there is nowhere to eat there but Subway and the military galley, which is cheap but not particularly good. Making my first attempt at baba ghanoush.
I really need to get off the fic-reading kick. It's so much easier to read Star Wars time-travel AUs than real fiction, but I know I'm missing out on good stuff. Bah.
Sigh. I'm dealing with the stress of clients who are not paying on time. Normally that's just part of the process, but this time of year it's always tight and it's just exhausting.
Facebook is useful sometimes for confirming that the guy who was a giant ass in high school is still a giant ass.

Fun times. I hate when I see that telltale drop on the back and wiggle.
Sorry, ND. It is such a balance of trying to be polite to customers and wanting to go break their knees. Don't make me beg for my money, man.
Monday! Ugh! Crazy busy after ignoring work all weekend. Ah well, I did a bunch of stuff then handed it over to my son to cover for me. Went to breakfast with my sisters and Brendon across the street. The beach restaurant is wheelchair accessible so my sister got to breath in the ocean air and watch the waves. Heading back to her coast in a little while. I think I finally have the chair assembly and disassembly to fit in the back of the vehicle down.
I’m with Tim at the clinic for his epidural steroid injection. Since his surgery isn’t going to happen for a month or two, this procedure is for pain management, to get him through until surgery. Fingers crossed this shit works.
Fingers crossed for Tim, yes.
Glad the airshow hosting went well, Laura.
We celebrated Matt's birthday yesterday, and he enjoyed himself, so that's a win.
Pain~management~ma sent for Tim.
The airshow and hosting went great. Sunday was delayed by storms but my BIL and another family friend came over for my sister's birthday dinner and jet swoop watching. The crazy helicopter was there again. With the strong winds we were having we all had heart failure watching a helicopter do loops and spins.
Glad all the hosting went well, Laura!!
Fingers crossed for Tim!
On the one hand I wish we in the US got as many holidays as my global coworkers. On the other hand, having a day where I’m working and they aren’t and I have hardly any emails? Glorious!!
