Steph, did you ever see the TV movie Phase IV from back in the 70s?
I have not, but based on the Wikipedia description, that might be what's happening in my neighborhood. (Of course, this neighborhood being what it is, half the ants are hipsters with teeny tiny cans of PBR and straw trilby hats, and the other half are queer socialists who grudgingly accept Joe Biden but still have teeny tiny Bernie 2020 stickers on their teeny tiny ant vehicles.)
Do the Northside ants have a lot of aphids running around free range?
Does anyone remember who made those?
I believe it was Suzi.
Greetings, All -- from Lurkerville. Wishing everyone the best from my side of the screen.
I sense a spark in the force! Hi, Sparky1. I hope that all is well with you and yours.
Fucking ants. They are all over my house, including the bedroom (where there is no food) and I have yet to figure out how to keep them away from my mouthguard (including hanging it from a goose-neck lamp and relocating it to the bathroom.)
I had ants and used Orange Guard. It worked like a dream and smelled really nice.
We went to the symphony last night. It was an absolute delight. First was Rachmoninov's Piano Concerto #3, which was glorious. Then Bruckner' Te Deum, which I endured. Not my thing, although I appreciate the talent. Also, Brendon fits in the venue's seats, which isn't the case often. So win!
I'm headed to get my nails done at noon, then going west to my sister's house. My NY sister is flying in tonight. Send whatever vibes that I can get my sister to agree to come over to my house for the weekend. My oldest sister has been to my place multiple times, but my other sister hasn't been to my side in many years, despite many offers to go and fetch her and bring her back. She and my brother didn't even come over for my son's wedding. I go to their side to visit them, often. I need to be here this weekend because it is the Air Show, which is a very big deal. I finally live where I can see it from my balcony and not have to walk a mile in and/or pay big bucks. I can see the huge tents up along the beach from my desk already. I'll go over tonight and come back tomorrow, with or without them. Security in the building is insane over the weekend with residents and a very limited number of guests having to wear wristbands. Anyway, I really hope she doesn't disappoint me once again, and actually comes to see where I live. I'm taking DH's car so I can fit both her wheelchair and walker, and everything is totally accessible here. I even got a toilet seat riser! Hoping for the best while preparing to be let down.
