she's the commander of an ice-breaker in the Great Lakes,
That is super cool!
I am crossing my fingers I don’t have a migraine tomorrow like I have every Saturday for the past several weeks. Do not appreciate. Also there’s a soccer game at 1230, so I can’t lay around all day waiting for meds to kick in! Come on, body!
Be good to meara, body!
Ice-breakers are super cool. I was only on an ice-breaking ferry once on Lake Champlain as a kid. It was so much fun. Crunch Crunch Crunch!

I woke up with a stabby migraine today, but Ubrelvy + caffeine seems to be getting rid of it. (Amusingly, based on my Facebook memories for this date, April 22 has been a migraine day for me several years in a row. I'm going to guess it's a combination weather change/spring allergy whammy.)

Allergies are eating my eyes this morning. All of those winter storms are paying off in tree spooj.
So dad’s memorial is tomorrow and I was supposed to head out to Jersey today to set things up and spend some time with family… woke up at 4 am in a filthy bed, my dog having it coming out both ends. He’s only 6.5 pounds - I swear there’s more exudation than dog.
So he’s cleaned up, calmed down… had two more minor eruptions but I think we’re about done now. Poor little man, he’s come so far but he’s clearly frightened that I’ll react angrily to the mess. He’s taken some water. In a few hours I’ll try some doggyolyte. Hopefully by tomorrow he’ll be at rest and fluids and I’ll head out first thing. Roommate can look in on him and handle an emergency, but poopocalypse/barfapalooza is too much to ask.
Oh no, Trudy, what a shitty time! no pun intended....
Oh yikes Trudy what a way to wake up.
Thankfully I woke up sans migraine today, yay! Plans involve going to soccer game and then maybe Costco?? Exciting times here. But just had a nice call with a good friend while she was driving and am chilling in my robe with my dog, so life is pretty good.

Hooray! (Mine is all gone; I still cannot believe how well Ubrelvy works!)

We're going to Target, dinner, and the movies (to see Renfield), but I'm still not sure in what order any of that is going to happen.
Lisa and I have been married for 23 years today. Getting married on Earth Day means much less chance of forgetting one's anniversary, astonishingly enough.
It definitely continues to be a wild ride. But we do still love each other and enjoy each other's company. No small thing, that.
