I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I got a free coffee out of it, so I'll take it. Although I did not get the donuts I ordered (they gave me an extra order of biscuits instead which I think balances out money wise but is still disappointing)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I find 4:20 annoying because it is a time. 16:20 actually if you want to be truly pedantic. But is it definitely not a date

anyway I'm celebrating with some flower and a bit of vape

Our wings are not tired.

Well, we should celebrate every day at 16:20, but my afternoons would be less than productive.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

JZ, that nurse is a dumbass troll. Also, remove yourself from Twitter. The good there is not outweighed by the just plain rotten, and nobody's got time for that.

Also, weird random question for you or Hec!

One thing I've realized recently is what a rotten job I did of supporting him when he was in the thick of his struggle with multiple myeloma

How long ago was his myeloma diagnosis, and, because I cannot remember, was it smoldering or symptomatic at the time of diagnosis? (Asking, literally, for a close friend with it looking for real-life outcomes.)

I fucking hate 420. It's the worst day in San Francisco.

You're not wrong.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm pretty sure it was over the 2019-20 holidays, and it was symptomatic. It had been smoldering for several years but he hadn't told any of us. He got excellent care at a hospital in NYC whose name I cannot now recall, and he's currently in a state known as "we don't use the word remission in this kind of cancer but if we did we would be using it for you."

Or it might have been 2018-19. I don't know. I do know that he was very sick and bald and weak during the worst of it, but kept all of us at arms' length. Which was easy enough what with the lockdowns, but as a consequence none of us have any real idea of what it was like for him (his husband took tremendously good care of him and shared well-written but personally spare updates with all of us, but nobody ever saw him until the not-remission.

You're right on the park. It's got to be pure misery!

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

A strong likelihood it's Sloan-Kettering.

Very likely! But your city really has an embarrassment of medical riches, so I don't want to say for sure.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Went down to Borderlands to distract myself and offer support to my friend, Eleanor, who works there.

Gunfire broke out on Haight Street.

Nobody hit as far as I can tell but people were scampering in one direction and seven police were headed towards it looking grim, and I could hear over their radios the suspect was running down Page street (which runs parallel to Haight).
