It is hard! Be kind to yourselves!
I went for a nice hike on the peninsula this morning, got the chance to carpool with an old friend I haven't seen in a while, did some yard work (i.e., pulled weeds), and was jazzed to see that my lime tree has lots of blossoms on it! Maybe this will be the year I get limes!
Now I'm roasting a bunch of veggies before going to my sister's house to watch Ted Lasso. Tomorrow is work again, sigh.
Happy birthday, ND!
Good Monday all! Happy birthday wishes to Sheryl! I hope you have a delightful day. May the year to come bring all good things to you and your family.
We're home. Everything went relatively smoothly and yet we're still both exhausted because this is hard.
Rest well. May each visit get easier for both of you.
Happy Birthday, Sheryl!
Indeed, completely exhausting no matter how smooth. Love to you both & the family.

Happy Birthday Sheryl!
I'm taking my mother in to have her hooked up to one of those wearable heart monitors today. Her doctors want to get some readings over time to see if anything has changed since the last time she had one (fairly recently), though the heart ultrasound she had at the hospital last week supposedly didn't indicate anything to be very concerned about.
I hope you're both getting some good rest today.
JZ got about 12 hours of sleep and I knew she was feeling perkier this morning because she immediately got in my way during my morning crunch time (aka, getting Matilda out the door) and I had to tell her to get the hell out of my kitchen.
Also, my voice was low this morning and so I was singing Beatles songs with a low, slow, rumbly, croaky Henry Kissinger impression.
"Do you vhant to know a secret. Ooh. Ah. Ooh. Do you promise not to tell. Ooh. Ahh. Ooh. I'm in luff with you."

Intrinsic to kitchens' nature is that, as soon as you're in there, your spouse will suddenly need to be in there too and get underfoot. (This is not [solely] a complaint about Tim, because I do the same thing to him. There's just a magnetic pull to a kitchen occupied by one's spouse.)

May the reports give you peace of mind.

Your bigger kitchen should make it easier!

This is 100% true in my experience. They get sucked into your wake.
Glad to hear that JZ is recovering.
I’m sorry that the A’s don’t seem to be a very good baseball team this season, David.
