I just had to wrangle a medication refill issue by calling CVS, then insurance, then my doctor's office. I *think* it's all fixed, but I won't really know it's fixed until CVS tells me I can come pick up the meds.
Those phone calls have me so riled up that I'm going to do some yoga to try to regain some level of chill.
I have yoga-ed. I'm not sure if I've regained any chill (assuming I had any to begin with, which is actually a laughable idea), but my hip flexors are definitely stretchier, so I've got that going for me.
Tim had some more back imaging done yesterday, and he meets with the surgeon Friday, I assume to schedule the surgery, which is being called "reconstructive surgery" (that just feels like a whole 6 Million Dollar Man thing). Just in the last 2 weeks, he's developed a lot more pain and can't stand or walk for very long, so this surgery needs to happen ASAP.
I'm amused that he'll have back surgery performed by the same clinic that did mine, very likely 20 years to the month after mine (April 2003). There's no better medical team to do it. People travel to Cincinnati to have surgery done by this clinic. They're outstanding. They're the clinic patients go to *after* other providers have fucked up their back surgery.
Glad y'all are skipping the "someone else fucking up their back surgery" step!

I'm all about the efficiency.
Timelies all!
I have taken today, tomorrow and Thursday off so I can use some of my extra leave. Ran a few errands today, and I have an appointment for a pedicure tomorrow.(Gary gave me a spafinder gift card for Valentine's Day, so I'm using it.)
Good luck, Teppy, with pharma wrangling (I know this pain) and Tim's surgery.
I have worked diligently on my to-do list today which included:
Buy a new dishwasher and schedule delivery
Ping contractor about fixing dryer
Buy airplane tix for next LA trip
Call Bank to make sure we don't get flagged for all this LA trip biz AND raise our credit limit for the day because See Above re: dishwasher and plane tickets
I also downloaded all my flight and hotel receipts to forward to the Big Pharma contact covering our expenses.
Still need to send that off, and pay off an outstanding bill.
Tomorrow's to-do list:
Have Fancy Brunch with my friend Jes
Skincare appointment
Matilda's Second Baseball game this season
I am a fan of tomorrow’s list. And impressed by today’s to-done list!
Also Gary’s top notch Valentining.
Sheryl's pedicure plan has inspired me to get a pedicure in the next few days because Easter is this weekend and it's going to be 70-something and I don't want to subject the family to my winter-scary feet in sandals.
I don't want to subject the family to my winter-scary feet in sandals.
It's time to shed the feral ways of winter.
I’m contacting a realtor today because while I’d hoped we’d have another year it’s clear we need to be out of my mother’s house as of June 1. Wish me luck because we are not fully financially prepared (house in Ohio is rented so we can’t sell it) and the housing market here is a disaster. (We’d rent, but there are literally 0 rental listings in this town that are not Airbnb. A 780 square foot house on a tiny lot on the edge of a marsh just went under contract in 4 days as a tear down for $870k. That kind of real estate market.)
