Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My one uncle used to hide an egg in his mouth.

He had a particularly large mouth.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I guess if there are a lot of trees or shrubs they could utilize vertical space for egg hiding. I agree that this is something that could be fun to watch from the sidelines. Not to conflate kids and pets, but one year a friend of a friend gathered up all the lost and used up tennis balls from her local court. There must have been 50 of them. She gave them to my then-roommate for her lab-shepherd mix, Sam. Roomie just dumped the entire box of balls out onto the living room floor, and Sam went nuts. It was great! The 300-Easter egg event could have the same energy.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

That is a lot of eggs.

Thrive to spite them

M's brother does the plastic eggs with stuff in them. There is always one egg with a bunch of ones in it. I don't think they've done 300 but I remember the first Easter I witnessed this the adults kept sending the kids back to find eggs because the cash prize egg hadn't been found. There was the initial rush of excitement and the free for all and then a kind of determined slog of...ok..more egg hunting.

David, yes having a crafty friend to do something outside home and work is nice. She has some anxiety about driving and when I was there and we were talking about getting together again she asked if we could keep meeting at her house and I was like "that works great!"

Punishingly Intricate

“One egg with a bunch of 1s” I thought was an egg filled with a bunch of little pieces of paper with the number 1 written on them. Der lol

I love the idea of the ott egg hunt! Sounds like a ton of fun.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I got my temporary crown today after a couple of false starts, and most of the pain was in my wallet as expected. I hate how rough the plastic feels to my tongue, though.

Naturally, when I checked to see what snack foods I have in my cupboard tonight it was popcorn and sunflower seeds. If I eat either this crown would probably look like a jian dui afterward.

Thrive to spite them

Yeah stay away from anything crunchy or anything that gets even a little sticky with a temp crown. Just from my experience.

Susan. I went with the bridge option over an implant mostly because my dental anxiety is so bad . Except for the bridge breaking saga (which was a totally freak thing) it's been ok. I'm lucky it fits really tight against my gum so I dont have to worry about stuff getting under it. But that is always something to consider. If I didn't have the extreme dental issues I'd probably go with an implant.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This is just to say that I am having a 404 sort of morning. Can't find my computer distance glasses, or my badge to get into the office, I know where my wallet is but that is in my purse which is in my living room, not with me (which I discovered when I had to stop and get gas, luckily I keep a gas card in the car) and I seem to have forgotten how to make coffee, or how it tastes, or something. Very off. Should probably shut down and reboot.

And my coworker who sits next to me just stopped by to say she didn't have her bag of papers she is working on today because she grabbed her son's bag instead. So I guess it is just that kind of day. Hope you are all managing better.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I neglected to replace the batteries in my smoke alarms when we switched to DST. I paid for it last night just before midnight when the low-battery chirp woke me up.

I got the battery changed out okay, but I had trouble getting back to sleep.

I have been lethargic all morning. I'm on lunch break now. I expect the rest of the work day will be a struggle.

Ugh.
