Seconding the treat
So I set up a therapy appointment for myself -- it's been years, and, honestly, I'm a little envious of Matt's weekly sesh. It was supposed to be last Friday, but the therapist never showed or sent a video link.
Obviously, she's not working through the service I used to set it up anymore (she never responded in any way to initial message - the system just auto-added me, I guess) - but, like, considering how hard it is for many people to work up to even getting that first appointment booked, if I were in a bad way or just sensitive to that kind of thing... yikes. I sent an email to the service.
Found another one to try (I find on BCBS portal first, then book through however they're taking appts.) Zocdoc is following up for more information (insurance, etc.), so I have more confidence this time.

Hooray for therapy, and arrrrgh for how frustrating it is to try to get an initial appointment with someone! Fingers crossed that #2 follows through for you.
Thank you! I did get a message from #2. It was automated, but it specifically requested further action to solidify the appointment, so...
I was suddenly hit with the need to be horizontal for a few minutes just now, so I'm taking a twenty minute nap. And, go!
Timelies all!
Well, there's been some difficulties in the evenings with Mr. S. He's hit other kids in the unit, and there's been a few times getting to bed was a challenge.(Apparently he told a staff member "Mommy and Daddy let me stay up until midnight". Haha, nice try kid) This is probably not unusual in the adjustment period.

In other news, I overhead someone mispronounce a word so wrong that it made me question my assumptions. Like, Maine Coons originated in Maine, right? Maine Coon like the state, right?
Yes, of course like the state. Thank god.
I am staring at the word trying to figure out how else you could pronounce it.
Ah yes, the French cousin of our humble Maine Coon.
The kids on tonight's Jeopardy had a couple of the kind of mispronunciation that comes from only reading a word, and it was cute. (Albu-quirky, for one)
