Shit's all sorts of different now.

And this JUST HAPPENS to be the quote in the corner ...

Mal: We're still flying. Simon: That's not much. Mal: It's enough.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Oh, darling. I know those feels. The last couple of years have been too much, and the person you were keeping your shit together for is off to have their own adventures. It's hard.

Who there could you go to and say "I need to lose it for a while, can you pet my hair/bring me chocolate/watch cat videos with me?"

Perimenopause is a bitch and a half: you might need to do some medication juggling, but if your PCP is decent, absolutely go to them and tell them what's happening.

All the love to you, babe. I promise it will get easier.

Ugh why am I awake at 330am? I’ve been awake for close to two hours. I have to get up at 6. I will probably fall back asleep at like 5 and be zonked.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That sucks, Aims. I hope you can get more effective meds, and a good, well bounded cry.

Spoiler: I did not fall back asleep and eventually gave up around 530. Ugh.

cocktail with this and Chambord could be called “Berry McBearface”.

I would drink this (cheerfully, because of the name).

Ugh on both the migraine and the sleep struggle, meara. No good.

Hi, Aims! Very sorry for the struggling here, too, and wishes for a great new therapist and beneficially rejiggered meds to you.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

A cocktail with this and Chambord could be called “Berry McBearface”.

Note to self: get invited to a party where Bear McCreary will be, serve him one of these.

Perimenopause can go and suck ALL OF THE EGGS.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aims! Good to see your pixels here! I have long held the opinion that every once in a while a big old ugly cry is just necessary and should be indulged in, whatever the circumstances.

Imagining pics of Bear McCreary holding a Berry McBearface with Jess pointing him out is cracking me up

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Aimee! Good to see your pixels around these parts!

My palette is definitely not refined, for liquor or most other things. Convenience store coffee tastes as good as the finely ground coffee shop sorts (but I can tell you if vinegar has been run through a coffee maker long after it's imperceptible my co-workers), Kraft American slices make as good a sandwich as aged cheddar or gouda, I can tell no difference between any provenance/age of whiskeys or bourbons, and my all-time favorite wine was an Italian moscato that cost $12 a bottle when I could find it.

I was all worried that I was being notified of a delivery from Lowe's that didn't match anything I'd ordered or anything in their online shop. Turns out it was a refund gift card that was somehow easier to FedEx to me than just refunding electronically to the gift card I used for my last purchase.
