Timelies all!
Mr. S pulled the fire alarm at school today. It's not the first time he's done that. Sigh...one more week of school.
As for this weekend, nothing special planned. I do need to go to the library as a book I put on hold is in. It'll be the first time in a while, as all the library books I've read in the last year or so have been e-books.
Who's doing what this weekend?
I'm scheduled to be back at work on Monday, so I will be relaxing and resting as hard as I can. Except for the part where I have to zoom into an emergency vestry meeting for church on Sunday afternoon, unless someone has a time machine handy so I can go back to late 2021 and tell myself to say no when I'm asked to serve. (If nothing else, it's an object lesson in being willing to say no even when I'm feeling all flattered to be asked, not to mention the fact I was kinda raised and socialized to take on roles like this.)
So wished, Hec.
And so it was!
Nonetheless I had a hectic day. Had to leave this morning before Matilda did, so I had to prep all her breakfast and lunch etc and hope she self launched on time.
Did the infusion with bonus EKG (having to go to another floor! I thought we'd get lost in the shuffle for sure, but they had us in and out and back to the infusion in no time) and were out of the hospital by by 1ish (so 8:30 to 1pm).
Got JZ home and fed her lunch and tucked into bed. Then had to rush out and buy lunch for Emmett & Kalena who are quarantining with Covid and feeling miserable. Left house at 2:20, dropped their food by 2:40, and then picked Matilda up from school by 3pm.
Took her to her first therapy session, and then finally fed myself lunch (burrito) while I waited. Swung by Walgreens on the way back to collect her and loaded up on Gatorade.
Got Matilda, and drove by Emmett's and dropped off the Gatorade. Got home and made her a lamb burger for dinner and listened to her debrief on her therapy session. (She was annoyed because it stirred up feelings and she didn't know what to do with them. I told her therapy is supposed to do that.)
Realized we had no milk for tomorrow's coffee so made an extra outing to the local store, and picked up bonus chocolate for Matilda. And now I'm very tired, even though I didn't even do my run this morning.
David, after that day, *you* need bonus chocolate!

I have settled on bonus cocktails.
Soon we will watch Poker Face and Owl House.
Bonus cocktails totally warranted
Who's doing what this weekend?
Low temp tomorrow is -7 (yes, NEGATIVE SEVEN DEGREES FARENHEIT), so I am staying in, thanks.
That was a busy day, Hec. I’m glad JZ’s treatment went well. And I hope Matilda’s therapy is useful. She’s had a fraught few years, and it’s good to have someone uninvolved to talk to about it.
Who's doing what this weekend?
I have dinner plans tonight, when it should be all the way up in the teens, so maybe I will not cancel them! Tomorrow the regular church and band.
Who's doing what this weekend?
Still dealing with car purchases. Mine has happened! the 2021 looks the same as my 2018 for the most part, but handles differently, amazed to say it handles even better. He has gone to look at another Model X just because he doesn't make quick decisions. But it will likely happen today.
I was going to buzz across state to see my brother for his birthday, but he has a cold so I may do that another time. It is super crazy windy today and although my list of chores to accomplish is very long all I want to do is sit on the balcony and watch the big waves.
In super silly things to debate with myself, I wonder if in my windy environment if it is easier to have my hair long enough to tie up like it is now, or short enough that it won't blow into my face. Decisions Decisions.
I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the new digs as you get settled in, Matt.

How is the plan for moving him into a residential program coming along?

It's hard to fight lifelong conditioning. How is the recovery going?
David, I'm a bit exhausted reading your update. I hope the infusion went well, and that you have chocolate cocktails aplenty.
