I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Thanks, y'all! I'm pretty chuffed. I've been at my current workplace for seven years, and I've felt a bit like I've been stagnating for the past year or so.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Great news, Calli!

I just really, really was starting to feel like I'd started kicking long Covid out the door, so the possibility reality of being Covid+ is stressful because what if the long Covid comes back? Without much sciencing to read up on, I don't know what to expect long-term.
Maybe your fresh crop of antibodies knocks out the long COVID once and for all? Purely anecdata, but my “tested positive, felt lousy for two days“ second bout in November put an end to the lingering fatigue and breathyness I’d endured since my proper scary first bout in the middle of September.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Congrats Calli! I'm so glad you're getting to stay with your team but also move up!!

Our wings are not tired

Yeah, I had another friend who was really hit hard by long covid, and then he had another bout of it and did Pavloxid and he finally started having energy again.

Thrive to spite them

Oh congrats!!!

I went back to the doctor. He changed the antibiotic. It wasn't ready at the pharmacy so I'll go back later tonight or in the morning depending on how I'm feeling. I know I should do it tonight but I really don't want to go back out.

Hopefully the Covid won't be so bad this time around.

There was an issue when I first got to the doctor's office. I had sent a message and then called and both times I mentioned nasal congesting, cough , etc and it was only when I was in the office that suddenly someone brought up Covid. I've been taking covid tests and they keep coming back negative. The reception person was like "you may have to have a video appointment." After I drove 25 mins to get there and I was really frustrated at thinking they'd have to do a video appointment when I was in the office. But that got cleared up and I have a small amount of fluid in my right ear now but still too much in my left ear.

I hate being sick.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Congrats, Calli!

Great news, Calli! And clearly well deserved!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm moving to a new position under my favorite manager, for more money, and with the chance to learn a bunch of cool things. And I didn't have to go through the interview process for it—my future manage just went to HR and said, "We need her on our team. Please make it happen." Yay!

That is fantastic, Calli! You've earned it.

I want to believe. Me and Mulder. Sitting in an isolation tree. Definitely not kissing because I have freaking Covid ... uh ... e-f-g.
