Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My work just sent an alert that damage to the BART tracks in Oakland has momentarily stopped all transbay service for the morning, and my first thought was, “Oh, no! Jesse’s mom!”

Aw, thank you! She won't be there for a couple of weeks, so she should be OK.

And I guess I can work on my day off.

Consuela, I’m sorry you’re still sick and had to cancel your trip. It sounds like the flu I had over Christmas. It lingered forever.

I’m finally getting over my nasty cold but now I have a headache I can’t shake. Probably more related to the turmoil of the last few days and feeling like I’ve been on calls talking so damn much.

I’m ready for this week to be over. I’m also really worried about what’s going to come out tonight and what will happen.
