morning, folks. This cold is being annoyingly persistent: I wish I didn't have any meetings today because I'm pretty sure I won't be able to say anything. At least I get to be at home.
And yes, I'm taking a 3rd covid test. Although the test has expired: so... does that mean you get more false positives, or false negatives?
I've never gotten a positive at-home test, even when I've gotten positive PCR tests.

I would guess false negatives, since it would make sense for the reaction to become less sensitive over time? But I am not a medical expert.
Anecdotally for me, I got a positive test before I developed any symptoms.

Is it really expired? You can check online, in some cases they have extended the expiration date that’s on the box
In general, I've been told home tests don't give false positives.

Dammit. My PCP is leaving the practice in two weeks and my current practice doesn’t have any availability. I liked having a doctor right in town and don’t want to have to go into the city for all my appointments.
I’ve been sick as a dog all week but it’s finally passing today. Two negatives and my sister, who i definitely got it from, also multiple negatives. So. Bad cold I think. I canceled a planned office day and I don’t really have anywhere else I needed to go.
That sucks, sj. Are they not bringing someone new on?
