It's my friend's 50th birthday today. Normally he takes the day off, treats himself to a nice lunch and enjoys the first parade, the one on the streetcar. Maybe would have done something a little special this year on account of the round number, but instead he's locked down at home glued to the news. What a world.

In other news, my crown has been glued back on my tooth. (Although the person I spoke to on Monday apparently didn't put my appointment in the system, they were still able to fit me in.)

While it's kinda minor, I feel a bit bad for Senators-elect Warnock and Ossoff. They should be smiling their way through the news cycle, giving interviews and thanking their supporters. Instead everyone's focusing on the idjits f-ing around in the Capitol building

All of my afternoon meetings were cancelled and emergency meetings have taken their place.
