So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Just got the word that there will be an early dismissal at ltc’s school tomorrow because there’s more snow coming.

Ugh! It's so fucking disruptive.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

She hasn’t been in school since Thursday. She’s climbing the walls with too much energy, and my little extrovert needs her socialization. I feel bad for the teachers.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have gotten my income taxes all messed up with issues that I never resolved and since I didn't owe money I kept putting it off and ...well... I ended up calling today to make an appointment to get it all straightened out and see if they will file my taxes for me this year since I don't want to deal with the worker's comp etc thing going on plus I realize I'm pretty bad at handling issues that pop up. As seen by this mess I've gotten myself into. Which means I've left money out there that could have helped me and I feel embarrassed and irresponsible and just kind of stupid. I'm getting all the documents I can find together and hoping I have them all and won't need to request some.

same.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We have an admission date for Mr. S to go into residential placement. Now to get through the next few weeks(including Gary's business trip).

Sheryl, that is good to hear, and I wish you all the calm there is until then.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hope that's good for all of you, Sheryl, and I hope the next few weeks are not too hard

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That’s good news Sheryl. I really hope it helps him. And you and Gary.
