Just when you think Tino's been vanquished for good...
Tino was definitely handling JZ's oncology scheduling (three weeks after the CT scan).
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Well, got the dryer to the basement, got the dryer installed (the vent ducting wasn't long enough so it required a bit of rigging and will have to be redone, but it'll last for awhile), ran to the pharmacy, walked the dogs, fed the dogs, cooked dinner, got the dishes going, replaced the furnace filter, and put out the garbage and recycling. I did have to work late, so I ended up pretty crunched for time.
Goodness, Gud. That is some serious getting shit done mojo. So glad you're liking MN.

Tino needs to stay right the fuck out of all of that.
A breakthrough! On my phone I can see the seconds on the time clock. We are discouraged from using our phones, but it works a lot better, I think.
This morning, I shoveled yet more (it snowed overnight), fed the dogs, and started laundry. I think tonight will be calmer.
Recovery~ma for Susan.
Today is my son's 31st birthday. We have been having a lovely visit. He shares his birthday with a number of people he loves, which makes it fun for him too. Dolly Parton! Also among his favs are Edgar Allan Poe, Janis Joplin, and apparently Mac Miller (a rapper who I am unfamiliar with, but he liked). He was up super late last night with friends watching movies then had to drive one home at a good distance. When he gets up we will go for lunch at a place that has a lobster tail special on Thursdays. Tradition is he always gets lobster on his birthday, but I am not cooking it here since we have people coming for tacos later and the leftover aroma from steaming lobster is not a good one when you haven't indulged.
I wish you a very calm and relaxing evening, Gud. I haven't even finished unpacking, but I am chill about it all. Figured out we didn't have pizza pans last night, but we just put foil on the racks. We'll find them in a bin at some point in time.
After a long and frustrating delay, we are finally all lined up in the Oncology pipeline.
JZ will have the portacath inserted tomorrow, and starts chemo on Saturday, and she got a chemo tutorial (via Zoom) with a Nurse Practitioner yesterday. Separate Zoom call with an oncology nutritional expert coming.
Yesterday we also Zoomed with Jacqueline's regular doctor, who heard us out on the frustrations and said she would be the point person for clearing out obstacles and barriers and nudging anybody else that needs a nudge.
Tomorrow we get on the Treatment Train and head out, but today is a respite. Matilda and I have been trying to soak all of Jacqueline up before she descends into chemotherapy.
It's reminded me a bit of the flea's family's bed roundelay when her kids were young and they'd climb into bed with the parents, until a parent wandered off to a kid bed for more sleep and it was all fluid.
Last night she slept through, but the previous two Jacqueline woke up in the middle of the night and went in and crawled into bed with Matilda where I found them snuggled together in the morning.
I brought Jacqueline her toast (with clotted cream and jam) and tea and she happily sat up in bed watching Matilda get ready for school.

Excellent. "Knowledge is power." Knowing what to expect eased a lot of my anxiety.

Also excellent. Chemo can be...challenging...even when it is going well. Learning how best to keep up her strength, what pitfalls to avoid, what positive and negative signs to watch for, those are all good things.

It is good to have someone else on the team who has committed to being ready to take decisive actions. Hold her to it.
But you know all that, already.
NGL, I'm kinda fascinated by the zoom tutorials and all that. Y'all enjoy the day and treatment~ma starting tomorrow!
Tino does so much, how does he find the time? Dude should chill.
Sophia, honestly, I don't think you watching the clock for seconds is an improvement. But whatever works for you!
