You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Cindy, from what I understand, there's nothing to compromise on. It's just been a total rejection for poor Laura and B, for no good reason, even when she's tried to reach out.

And Laura, what was said above. It's awful that you are in this situation, and I hope eventually he comes to his senses.

What is even happening?

Well that sucks. Thank you, Pix. I am so sorry, Laura.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, I have read way too much on psych boards about rejected parents, and have done all the things suggested. Apparently, it is some way of establishing independence. My sister, and a number of close friends, have lost their children in a permanent way, so as they say, where there is life there is hope. I know he is functioning with a job and 2 kids now. His health could be better, but I hope having the new baby will make him take that more seriously. I'm patient. Some day his boys will ask about his parents and that may be what it takes for him to come back to the fold. He's only 28 so he still has some maturing to do. Ugh, I am coping, but it hits Brendon much harder.

In better offspring news, I picked up eldest son and girlfriend last night and they will stay for a week. They love our new place and we stayed up too late chatting before collapsing to sleep.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I had no idea that electroacupuncture was a thing, but it is. I’m editing an article about electroacupuncture for opioid-induced constipation, and all I can think is “yes, if you zap someone, they’re going to shit themselves!” But apparently this can be proven scientifically.

I had that type of acupuncture but I actually liked the needles more. This reminds me that I need to go before I head north in the Spring because my allergies were awful last summer. Acupuncture is a miracle for allergies.

It turns out that it works gradually, but my honest-to-god reaction was "if you zap me with electricity, I'll shit my pants!"

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I am more relieved than ever that I worked that particular problem out on my own.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Way back when I was going to massage therapy, there was some electroacupuncture involved. No unexpected evacuations, but it was weird having body parts moving on their own.
