It sounds a lot like how Chris Pronger had his heart knocked into arrhythmia by a puck to the chest back in the late 90s. Scary stuff.
It's the most common way amateur baseball players die in America (since the advent of batting helmets): line drive hits the pitcher in the chest and causes cardiac arrest.
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I took the day off work and got in a nice, long walk in the park before the rains start again, finished a library book, made chicken pot pie, and assembled more of the 608 piece Lego Orchid I bought myself for my birthday.
That sounds like a lovely birthday, shrift.
Happy Belated Birthday, shrift! Sounds like you had a lovely day.
This is the first day so far in the new year that I don’t have anything to do when I drop off ltc at school. My house will be mine and I plan on journaling and reading and enjoying the quiet. And maybe doing a little bit of clean up. After having her home the whole week she was sick and then the whole vacation, I need a little bit of me time.
Excellent birthday plan, shrift!
Ah, nice recharge day, sj.
{{Sheryl}} I hope this year brings solutions.
{{{Sheryl}}} I hope you’re able to come up with a solution.
I’m so sorry, Sheryl, and I hate that there aren’t better resources in this stupid country for you and your kid.
I received a call from the school nurse first thing this morning that ltc needed her inhaler and couldn’t stop coughing. So, now I get to spend the rest of my day worrying about her. The cough from the flu can linger for 6 weeks or so according to her pediatrician.
We're getting ready for the big storm to hit. Heavy rains, flooding and high winds.
We're on a bit of a hill so I'm not too worried about flooding, but our drain at the bottom of the back stairs got overwhelmed the other day and looked scary as it filled up.
